Candida Albicans: The Rarest Understoodyeastinfection Ever
Ranked #15,288 in Health, #166,542 overall
Why Do I Feel So Tired?
Few people seem to have heard of Candida but are aware of yeast infections. Until you are affected by the impact of it on your life it remains a complete mystery to those who retain good health as a result.
Because of the way it is triggered in your digestive system it's unclear just exactly what happens except to say that the outcome is the characteritic range of symptoms that accompany the condition. In my own case I had been admitted to hospital for a 2nd time after the initial diagnosis in 1992 of a benign pituitary tumour (macroprolactinoma). The approach to dealing with that involves the use of medicines which reduce the overproduction of Prolactin (milk hormone) that enlarges the pituitary gland and breaks it out of the protective shell that encases it. The successful reduction of the tumour leaves a space in the area of the pituitary which makes for the use of a procedure that is designed to seal the leak created in the meninges that allows the escape of Cerebro Spinal Fluid (CSF). Known as a transphenoidal CSF leak repair it entails an operation to plug the space using muscular tissue from the patient to create a replacement flesh closure in the space. In my case the procedure failed to effect the sealing of the space and I required a furhter operation that attempted to reduce the pressure on the brain's release of CSF and I underwent the insertion of a peritoneal shunt and after a few days this also proved to be ineffective in suppressing the outflow and so the surgeon was left to repeat the first operation in the hope this would stem the loss of fluid. I was fortunate to find that this third and final operation succeeded and so ended, or so I thought, the problems associated with my pituitary gland.
The Top Five Reasons Candida Albicans is the Rarest Understoodyeastinfection
- Uncommon
- Affects people with long term exposure to antibiotic medication
- People recovering from surgical procedures may be more prone to it's impact
- Effective cures remain elusive
- Conventional medicine still views it as an "imaginary" disease without basis for treatment and rectifying through medicine.
